Has country lost it's way. Your Opinion?

The founders of country music would turn over in their graves if they heard today"s country. Drums have replaced steel guitars, loud guitars replaced fiddles. Of course we have Randy Travis, Alan Jackson and George Straight who play the old time way. What has gone wrong? Does every new artist come and go after three years. Legends like Merle Haggard, Loretta Lynn and George Jones don't any play time on radio. But I like what George says "They don't play country any more" What is your opinion?
