Have you ever got mistaken for metroual rather than gay?

My new boss just realized I am gay. She has been her nearly 2 weeks. I have a picture of my husband and I on my desk. I thought people just knew I was gay...but my friend Sherry came over for lunch yesterday. Today my boss asked if she was my wife and I said no, I am gay I umed you knew. She said, "No I just thought you were one of those metrouals."
